Rhona Brown
PhD Student
Rhona Brown is a Doctoral Researcher in the School of Education, working in collaboration with the Sustainable, Healthy, Learning Cities project at the University of Glasgow. Her PhD research will explore teachers’ and pupils’ experience of their urban neighbourhood environment and the implications for pedagogy.
She completed her Masters in International Education and Development at the University of Sussex in 2012 where her research and interests focused on the inclusion, pedagogy and teacher education.
She has worked in education, as a teacher, teacher educator and researcher, initially in Europe and then in Tanzania and Sri Lanka. Prior to starting her doctoral studies, she was the Head of Education Programmes for the British Council Nepal. Her main interests are in teacher knowledge, learning and pedagogies and languages in education, all with a view to supporting all learners.
