Gilbert Nduwayezu
Assistant Lecturer
Gilbert Nduwayezu is an Assistant Lecturer in the School of Engineering at the University of Rwanda and is an SHLC project lead urban researcher in Rwanda.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Rwanda, and completed a Master of Science in Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation for Urban Planning and Management obtained at the University of Twente; Department of International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation, Enschede, The Netherlands.
He is an Urban Planner particularly specialised to the use of geographic information technologies and earth observation in urban planning and management. My work has focused on the integration of satellite data for urban development modelling, developing methods for the mapping of urban growth with remote sensing and on the use of different spatial decision support for urban land use planning.
