Weicong Luo
PhD Student
Weicong Luo is a PhD student (Urban Studies) in the GCRF Centre for Sustainable, Healthy and Learning Cities and Neighbourhoods (SHLC), School of Social and Political Sciences, University of Glasgow.
He earned a BSc degree (Environmental Geography) from the University of York and a Master degree (Urban Regeneration and Development) from the University of Manchester. His PhD research relates to Science of Geographic Information System (GIS) and Health Geography. In detail, he focuses on spatial-temporal accessibility to healthcare services and spatial location optimisation of healthcare facilities. His research aims to reduce the spatial inequality of healthcare accessibility especially Emergency Medical Service (EMS) and improve the current methodology for measuring accessibility to healthcare services. Additionally, he is also interested in the relationship between public health and environmental problems such as air pollution
